The DB9000-TX is a multi protocol Audio over IP encoder, operating with either analog or digital audio. The signal compression is performed in real time, using the HE-AAC or MPEG-1 Layer 3 encoder and transmitted via TCP/ IP-based network to one or multiple decoders. In order for audio transmission without quality loss to be ensured, DB9000-TX also supports an uncompressed PCM stream.
 
The DB9000-TX can act simultaneously as an Icecast compatible Server, Icecast source client, or a Real Time Protocol (RTP) sender. Via the RS-232 port, the DB9000-TX could be transformed from Ethernet to a serial Redirector, allowing control of any other existing equipment over the Internet. The DB9000-TX allows quick integration of the existing audio systems to the Internet. Additionally, the unit can be managed through a standard Web browser and UPnP for easy connection via local area networks. Android and iOS devices are also supported.
