The FJ-500 is the latest addition to the Conex line of cell phone interface products. The new design takes all the features of the FJ-10 model and adds many new ones.

In its simplest form, the FJ500 Flipjack is a microphone and line interface to a mobile or telephone line - but the FJ500 boasts a number of additional innovative features and is virtually all you need for most live outside broadcasts.

The Flipjack is an integrated microphone, line and headphone amplifier complete with mixer designed to connect via a 2.5mm jack to a mobile telephone to improve transmission quality. The FJ500 will also connect to a conventional telephone line and comes complete with comprehensive monitoring outputs, including the ability to monitor off-air feeds. There are two headphone outputs - perfect for dual commentary (at a soccer match for example, or motorsport where there's also a summariser).

The incredible flexibility of the unit can be seen by studying a typical configuration as shown below, which in the past would have required a car load of equipment.
