The CD-RW901SL Professional CD recorder gives studios and contractors the professional connections and features they need, like AES-EBU digital I/O, RS-232 serial control and a timed track increment for adding CD track ID markers during recording.
Starting with the features of the CD-RW900SL, the CD-RW901SL adds XLR balanced analog I/O, a wired remote control, and other features professionals demand.
The balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA ins and outs have dedicated input level controls on the rear panel. Digital inputs are provided in both AES/EBU and SPDIF format, with automatic sample rate conversion for compatibility with nearly any signal. The CD-RW901SL even plays back MP3 files with ID3 titles.
A Time Track Increment feature automatically adds a CD track ID every few minutes (selectable from 1 to 10 minutes), ideal for live concert and event recording. The Key Original function changes the playback speed without affecting the pitch. The PS/2 keyboard input offers not only the ability to name tracks using CD Text, but gives the user one-key access to frequently-accessed menu and transport functions.
Using Tascam CD recorders is simple, which is why they’re the first choice for any contractor and high-level consumer application.

A superb recorder and with excellent playback quality. I bought one as my Yamaha Professional recorder was faulty after many years of use. The quality of the playback audio through the Tascam was far superior to a Quad modern CD player, which shocked me. It was certainly up to the pro Yamaha unit, and possibly even a bit better. The menus take a bit of getting used to and actually I prefer the Yamaha controls but this is a true, quality unit.

A fantastically good CD recorder with playback resolution and quality better than my Quad CD player which was virtually state of the art a couple of years ago. This must be very close to the mastering recordings. Beautifully made and balanced connections, pitch playback control. Easy to use. So good i am considering getting another one !
