Truly a multi functional unit, the msi-3300 television audio processor offers analog and digital inputs and outputs. MSI 3300 is a "smart" processor, designed for broadcasting.
Setup is a snap and the 3300 offers superb, wide, dynamic gain riding and limiting at affordable prices.
The MSI-3300 Conditions audio for transmission in any medium:
Cable modulators
Satellite uplinks
Fiber modulators
STL’s and other microwave channels
Aural transmitters
Cable stereo generators
Perceptional coders, such as MPEG and Dolby AC3 and E.
Telco lines
Behaves like a human operator
The built-in automatic gain riding feature enhances as well as reduces gain in your audio, depending upon the program content. During consistent programming, 3300 levels out the varying audio levels, during silence the 3300 freezes the gain, it can also sense dramatic fades and allows them and doesn't track slow fades into the noise floor. It's like having an additional audio operator.
TV Program Material Varies
The varieties of audio are endless. In order to process them all, an operator has to continually switch the audio or you can use an MSI-3300 and it will do the job for you.

ELECTRICAL PERFORMANCE Frequency Response
Digital input to Analog or digital output:
+/-0.5dB, 30Hz-14kHz
Analog input to Analog or Digital output:
+/-0.5dB, 50Hz-14kHz
Analog input high-pass filter:
-3dB at 30 z/18dB/oct (The HPF can be bypassed)
Notes: The unit incorporates a 15.7kHz notch filter and BTSC system alias protection
LPF. These filters are always present in both the analog and digital input paths
The same tolerance is met when the HFL is engaged along with the fixed output de-emphasis option, with control off. With
control on, the input level must be reduced below the HFL theshhold, in which case the tolerance is also met.
With HFL engaged and no output de-emphasis, the 75usec pre-emphasis is accurate to a smaller tolerance (typically +/-0.2
dB), with control off or at level below HFL threshold.
(THD+noise):Either input to Digital output at -1dBFS <0.1%,
30Hz-14kHz
Either input to Analog output at +10dBu <0.1%, 30Hz-14kHz
Crosstalk: Analog inputs to either outputs >50dB, <10kHz
Digital inputs to either outputs >55dB, <10kHz
Output noise: Either inputs to Digital out -83dBFS
Either inputs to Analog out -72dBu
