The ENDVBCAST series has been recently introduced by Elettronika to offer to its valued customers new compact equipment for digital TV broadcasting with a very interesting price-to-performance ratio. Three different combinations of the latest generation, top-performance boards for MPEG-2 encoding, MPEG-2 multiplexing, DVB-S and DVB-T modulation are a perfect opportunity for customers who are approaching the world of DVB-T.
The ENDVBCAST series is composed of three devices, each contained in a compact 1U case.
The 1PROG_DVB-S accepts 1 analogue video and 1 analogue stereo audio signals, compresses them with an MPEG-2 kernel, and outputs a QPSK-modulated 70MHz carrier for direct connection to microwave systems. The 2PROG_DVB-S is similar to 1PROG_DVB-S, the difference is that it accepts 2 video and 2 stereo audio signals so that 2 digital TV programs can be easily multiplexed into a 70MHz carrier with an optimal price-to-quality ratio. The 1PROG_DVB-T is dedicated to customers who need to broadcast a single TV program over a digital terrestrial channel.
It accepts 1 analogue video and 1 analogue stereo audio signals, compresses them with an MPEG-2 kernel, and outputs a COFDM-modulated 36.15MHz carrier for direct connection to the IF input of VHF and UHF TV transmitters. Together with the Elettronika Automatic Transmitter Switch, it is the perfect solution for building a cost-competitive and high-performance system for the experimentation phase that will lead to the final switchover.
The ENDVBCAST processing boards are identical to the top-quality ones used in our full-featured devices. The optimal price reduction has been perfectly tailored by a compact design, an accurate choice of the parameters made available for the end-user, and a highly skilled view over the DVB market requirements.
