Burk LX-1 Stereo Switcher

With the LX-1 stereo switcher, production, newsroom, satellite, automation or EAS audio can be on air without tying up board inputs or moving patch cables around. Up to 6 connected sources are immediately available with the push of a button.

The programmable MIX function allows you to have two or more sources on the air at once. No matter what the source, professional or consumer, the LX-1 takes them all in stride thanks to built-in IHF to PRO conversion. Thanks to the excellent crosstalk circuit, you'll never have to worry about "bleed through" from one source to another.

Front panel controls provide MIX, LOOP and READY functions. The MIX mode allows multiple sources to be on the air while maintaining proper levels, LOOP provides a means of switching an audio or effects processor in or out of line, and READY allows local and remote control of selection. While READY is off it locks all functions to preserve your customized settings. Machine-Follow-Audio outputs send start stop pulses to each source for controlling automation or cartridge and reel-to-reel machines.

Unlike a patch panel, the LX-1 employs soft switching to guarantee a seamless transition as you switch from source to source. A second isolated stereo output permits monitoring or driving an additional load.
