Broadcasting the 2007 Rugby World Cup
03/12/2007
Radica Broadcast Systems Ltd, a leading supplier of Broadcast Radio transmission systems and services in the UK, were contracted by the Rugby World Cup to provide the transmission services to deliver a French and English commentary for each match. Spectators were able to tune in to either commentary in the stadium, in either language.

Radica Broadcast Systems, having used our products extensively, naturally chose BW Broadcast to supply them the TX5 Transmitters. Each of the 48 games of the 2007 Rugby World Cup required two transmitters, one for English and one for French commentary. Radica used the match schedule to determine the number of units, and amount of redundancy required.

Rob Spiers of Radica Broadcast Systems Ltd said "The BW Broadcast equipment behaved impeccably and produced very good results. Final licensing was only approved a couple of weeks before the start of the tournament, and BW Broadcast delivered the goods under a very tight schedule" .

BW Broadcast 's Brendan Lofty says " We are proud to have been part of this worldwide event, Radica continue to show commitment to our products and service, further intensifying our long standing partnership with them" .
