The affordable Bel 5110E broadcast profanity
delay unit offers all the features required by the
broadcaster who transmits live programs or phone-
ins, allowing continuity of programme output to be
maintained at all times.
Utilising advanced algorithms, the Bel 5110E
features a transparent auto catch-up mode which
automatically builds up a delay “on air” in real time,
allowing the program to flow without interruption.
Providing from 2.5 to 40 seconds of stereo audio
delay, the Bel 5110E can be configured to allow
adequate time for the production team or presenter
to identify and remove any undesirable program
content.
Both programme and cart inputs can be either
analogue or AES, allowing installation into both
analogue and digital broadcast systems.
Two auto catch-up algorithms are available for
speech or music, selectable from the optional wired
remote control or a third-party control panel. Other
remote functions include “Edit” and “Delay in/out”.
When the “Edit” button is pressed the Bel 5110E
will delete the audio contained in the delay and either
provide automatic cart insert via the cart player
interface or unobtrusively reintroduce the delay. All
remote functions can be accessed via a rear panel
connector.
A fail-safe bypass system protects the programme
signal in the event of power failure.
