The AIRcorp Model 500TV microphone processor was designed to solve the most common audio miking problems found in today's TV studios and on remote locations.
The Model 500TV's complementary compressor and expander sections maintain a predictable level of loudness for the air talent, while virtually eliminating adjacent microphone crosstalk and room noise. Dynamic control coupling eliminates "hollow room" flanging effects. Multiple microphones can be on simultaneously. The three-band equalizer is especially configured to address the problems presented by off-axis and partially obscured lavalier microphones, as well as normal booth miking. In addition, the Model 500TV's "electronic wind screen" allows the device to process spoken word and ignore high levels of ambient noise and rumble without coloring the processed material.
AIRcorp's Model 500TV can accomodate any commonly used dynamic, condenser, or ribbon microphone, and it can also be fed by line level program switchers and production consoles, making it the most versatile dedicated speech processor available to Audio-for-Video professionals. .
More exclusive Model 500TV features:
- Front panel selection of input level in four ranges, +4dB to -50dB. Remotely controllable.
- Three section variable boost and cut equalizer compensates for off-axis microphone response..
- Complementary compressor/expander provides level control without noise rush-up.
- Phase reverse switch corrects phase errors instantly. Remotely controllable..
- Integral +48 Vdc "phantom power" for condenser microphones.
- Simultaneous microphone level and line level outputs available..
- De-esser suppresses excessive sibilance without coloration of normal signals. Remotely controllable.
- Servo-balanced outputs eliminate ground loops in any installation.
- Buffered headphone jack permits setup without on-air interruptions.
- DB-25 connector extends all logic functions for remote control.

installation into standard 19" equipment racks.
NOTES
0 dB and 0 dB ref .775 Vrms refers to 0 Vu at 0.775 Volts rms
0 dBm referes to 0 Vu at a power level of 1 mW into 600 Ohm
Noise measurements are made using an rms-responding meter in a 20 kHz corrected noise bandwidth
