The COURSE accommodates a set of up to 10 dual channel ISDN, Digital Hybrid (analog line), V35/X21 TCP/IP communication boards, in a 4-unit chassis with control software and dual power supplies.
As options, the COURSE equipment can include AES-EBU inputs and outputs.

High Speed Audio Processor Board
This high speed DSP Module is the engine for the AudioCodecs. Each module is equipped with 24 bits A/D - D/A converters and if the AES/EBU option is ordered, with input Sample Rate Converters.
Faming and Ecoding Modes
G.711, G.722, MPEG Layer II and III, and AEQ-LD Extend at 32 kHz, 128 Kbps, 4 Sub-band, 15 kHz low-delay encoding.
DRA - IP
2 Channel (Stereo) Audio interface Board
TCP/IP Board: TCP Module acts as an audio communication interface for encoded signal through a TCP or UDP protocol. Maximum bit rate 128kb/s
High Speed Audio Processor Board
This high speed DSP module is the engine for each of the audio codecs in the system. Each module is equipped with 24 bits A/D - D/A converters and if AES/EBU option is ordered, with input smaple rate converters for perfect audio quality.
DRA- HYBRID
Dual hyprid w/ echo canceller and frequency extender, with AES/EBU IO optional. Dialing and configuration done via software provided with the board. Selectable pulse or tone dialing, ring on incoming calls and caller ID. Two simultaneous calls capability.
DRA - AES/EBU
Module with transformer
Sample rate converters (SRC): range 1:3 and 3:1, 24 real bits without turncating, independent on inputs and ouputs. Sample rates supported: from 16kHz to 48kHz. Dynamic range in the SRC: 128 dB. THD + noise in the SRC @ 1kHz: -117 dB. This Optional Module is mounted on the High Speed DSP Audio Processor Module, DRA-DSP.
DRA - TA1
Communication Interface Boards
ISDN interface board with Universal Terminator Adaptor (S and U) for connections at 64 + 64 Kpbs to 128 Kbps. This module also holds the auxillary data channel port for the ancillary data at selectable binary rate in the coding modes which support this feature.
