All you need to supply is a line of sight path between point a and point b. You can expect distances of several kilometres or more to be achieved without a problem.

The Barix Instreamer is a great product. It maintains a steady signal when streaming to a server. I have used it for two weeks straight and I have had no sync losses or stream breaks. I have used software based encoders like Oddcast/edcast, RadioBOSS,... I have to say that they are not in the same league as the instreamer. For anyone who is serious about streaming audio over the internet then the Barix Instreamer is the only way to go.
